Yukari Mitsui , C.P.F.D.

is one of the new generations of Floral Designers who firmly believes in natural floral design. Her creations combine nature's beauty with her creativity and this pairing yeilds breathtakingly beautiful and unique floral designs, each composition perfectly matched to the event, location and recipient. Her boundless creative talents are apparent in every piece, that is created with her passion for quality an uncompromising desire for individual technique and style.

Yukari has been inspired by flowers and nature's beauty her entire life. Beginning as a little girl, she enjoyed playing with flowers as she watched her mother, who is an Ikebana Master in Japan . Later as a tour guide in the Canadian Rockies, Yukari's passion for Mother nature and flowers took hold and she was compeled to begin her carer as a floral designer.

After completing her Floral Design training at Vancouver Community College , Yukari welcomed the opportunity to work for and inspired by Richard Portice. He had not only taught her the floral design course but he was also the proud owner of Casablanca Floral Boutique Ltd., located in downtown Vancouver . This Boutique was known for creating stunning designs & events at some of the most elite hotels in the city.

In 2002, Yukari became a member of The Canadian Professional Floral Designers Association and she designated the President of CPFD 2006~2007. Yukari joined West Van Florist Home & Garden Design Team, one of the best known flower shops in North America where she further developed her design techniques working with the leading floral designer, Donald Yim AIFD, CPFD . This relationship led to another landmark opportunity for Yukari – an introduction to a celebrated international floral designer, Hitomi Gilliam AIFD. It was privilaged to be invited to assist her mentor, Hitomi Gilliam AIFD at floral shows and events.

In 2005, Yukari received an award from her industry peers: The People's Choice Award. The name of Yukari's company, Unique Floral Design, is indicative of what one can expect from her creations!
